1 Fix a common problem
Tap what's happening. Try the checks – most problems are fixed in a few minutes.
Always switch off, remove the key or unplug, and wait for every part to stop before you open, clear or adjust the machine.
1It won't start or turn
Try this first:
- Electric: check the plug, isolator and breaker.
- PTO model: check the PTO shaft is connected and the tractor is at the right speed.
- Make sure the mixer is not overfilled.

2The feed is not mixing evenly
Try this first:
- Don't fill above the recommended level.
- Mix a little longer, and add small ingredients in the middle of the batch.

3Noise from the drive
Try this first:
- Check chain or belt tension and grease the bearings.
- Check for loose bolts.

2 Spare parts

- Before each use: check that the mixing auger turns freely and guards are closed.
- Never climb into or reach into the mixer while it is running.
- After each use: empty fully and clean out leftover feed.
- Regularly: check chains or gearbox oil and grease the bearings.
